Author 's note :
Ce matin du 19 octobre 2003 a été très riche en observations de qualité. Le ciel était peuturbulent, bien transparent, le vent calme et l'humidité absente. La température extérieure de 0°C blanchissait les prairie des alentours.

Sur ces images de Jupiter, on peut assister à un phénomène atmosphérique donnant naissance à d'étranges taches noires. Explications?

Adjust the brightness and contrast of your monitor so that you can see each step separately.
Pay more attention to the black steps here. The darkest step should be as dark as you can
make it while still being able to distinguish it from the next lighter step.
