L'Etna (3350m).
Nous sommes au niveau de la mer, au sud de Catane, à 40km du sommet.
Le cratère sommital est actif depuis trois jours et libère dans l'atmosphère un volume assez important de gaz, de vapeur d'eau et de poussière. Le panache qui en sort barre l'horizon ouest en donnant cette couleur très particulière.
Quelques temps auparavant, un superbe anneau de Bishop se formait autour du soleil... mais, ce sera pour une prochaine fois! (Il n'est pas facile de stopper et stationner une voiture sur les grands axes siciliens!)
