Ce cliché appartient à la même série que 'Arc circumhorizontal et halo de 22° - 01'.
Sur cette image l'arc coloré, assez irrégulier, s'étend en largeur sur près de 20°. Contrairement à sa dénomination, cet arc n'a aucune courbure; il se développe parallèlement à l' horizon. Selon le champ photographique choisi, la projection en accuse l'effet.
