Une prudente précaution s'impose:
Les arcs de Lowitz sont les plus contreversés des halos...et ils se voient rarement!
Néanmoins, voici ce que nous avons observé ce jour-là.
Un arc tangent supérieur et un très discret parhélie gauche.
Un autre segment d'arc est aussi visible définissant un angle marqué avec le précédent, en se prolongeant vers le bas, en direction du parhélie gauche. Ce dernier élément devrait être un arc de Lowitz supérieur gauche.
(Tobias Lowitz était astronome en poste à Saint-Pétersbourg à la fin du XVIIIe siècle).

Pay more attention to the black steps here. The darkest step should be as dark as you can
make it while still being able to distinguish it from the next lighter step.
