Altitude du soleil: ~27°
En dessous de 32°, cette hauteur du soleil classe le phénomène parmi les arcs tangents, au delà de 32° l'arc aurait été défini comme circonscrit.
Le passage en chandelle d'une traînée d'avion se transformant rapidement en une sorte de vortex, n'affecte pas ou peu les couleurs de l'arc.
